What Does Cruise Travel Insurance Cover Include?
Cruise holidays differ in many ways from a traditional holiday. The first and most obvious difference is that you will be spending the best part of your trip on a cruise ship! What’s more is that many cruise operators make it a condition of your trip to have some form of cruise holiday insurance in place (check this before you go).
For these reasons alone, some normal Travel Insurance policies are not suitable for this type of trip as they will not provide cover for aspects specific to your cruise and some policies will even exclude cruise holidays as standard. Therefore, it’s a good idea to plan your cruise holiday like a tightly run ship and get Travel Insurance with Cruise Insurance for additional cover such as Missed Port Departure, Cabin/Stateroom Confinement or Unused Excursion cover so that you are not left in deep water financially.
