1. Does Travel Insurance for Off-Road Motorcycling Cover Competitions?
No. Our policy does not cover racing or competitive events. It is designed for non-competitive, guided off-road motorbike holidays only.
2. What Destinations Are Covered Under Travel Insurance for Off-Road Motorbike Holidays?
Voyager Plus offers cover for off-road motorbike trips across UK, Europe and worldwide. Our cover is divided into four geographic areas to help you select the right level of protection for your route:
- UK Only (For UK Residents Only) – Covers England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland, Isle of Man, and Channel Islands
- Europe Off-Road Motorcycle (Area 2)– Includes all of Area 1, plus Western Europe, Mediterranean countries (excluding Algeria, Libya, Syria, and Israel), Canary Islands, Madeira, and Iceland
- Worldwide Off-Road Motorcycle – Choose from these 2 options:
- Area 3: Includes all countries in Areas 1 & 2, plus worldwide (excluding North America, the USA, Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean, the Bahamas, and Bermuda)
- Area 4: Includes all countries in Areas 1, 2 & 3, plus North America, the USA, Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean, the Bahamas, and Bermuda
3. Does Voyager Plus Travel Insurance Cover Off-Road Motorcycling?
The off-road motorcycling element of your trip is only covered for a maximum of 7 consecutive days under the Voyager Plus policy. However, your overall travel insurance can cover a longer trip duration, as long as the off-road activity itself does not exceed the 7-day limit.
If you need extended cover for other parts of your holiday, you can adjust your policy duration when getting a quote.
4. Is Motorcycle Gear Covered by Travel Insurance?
Off-Road motorcycle-specific clothing and safety gear such as helmets, boots, and leathers are not covered under the baggage section.
Voyager Plus still protects your general personal belongings on your travel insurance for motorcycle trip in Europe or further afield.
