Winter Sports Travel Insurance
Voyager Plus Travel Insurance explains the features and benefits of extensive travel insurance for your Winter Sports trip.
With winter fast approaching, many are looking forward to finally hitting the slopes once again after an extended break due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the international travel restrictions that followed.
Winter Sports holidays tend to come with a certain degree of risk attached to them and whilst many remember to purchase their travel insurance to help cover the costs of any unexpected Emergency Medical Treatments should travellers sustain any injuries whilst on holiday, it is important to consider the other areas that travel insurance can help protect too, especially if you'll be travelling with or hiring expensive ski equipment to help make your trip as enjoyable as possible.
That's why Voyager Plus Travel Insurance explain the features and benefits of a number of its optional add-ons to ensure you are fully prepared for almost any eventuality on your upcoming Winter Sports trip
Additional cover for your Winter Sports trip
Voyager Plus Travel Insurance prides itself on providing customers not only with an extensive travel insurance policy, but with the number of options available for customers to add to help tailor their perfect travel insurance solution.
For a Winter Sports leisure trip, it is worth considering the following two additional options to add to whichever level policy you choose.
Section 17: Ski Equipment
This optional policy add on provides financial protection in the event your own or hired ski equipment becomes damaged or stolen and also offers to cover the cost of necessary hire of ski equipment should your own items become damaged or stolen.
This add-on can also financially re-imburse you for use of the cost of necessary hire of ski equipment following the loss, theft or damage to your ski equipment insured by us or the delayed arrival of your ski equipment, subject to you being deprived of their use for 12 hours or more.
It is worth noting that any damage to these items would not be covered under the baggage section of cover of the travel insurance policy.
Section 18: Ski Pack
This optional add on can help cover the value of any ski pass, ski hire or ski school fee that you are unable to use or recover following an accidental bodily injury or sickness that prevents you from skiing, as medically certified, or from the loss or theft of your ski pass.
Section 19: Piste Closure
This additional cover option provides financial reimbursement for each day that it is not possible to ski because all lifts are closed due to a complete lack of snow, adverse conditions or avalanche danger in your pre-booked trip resort.
This includes cover up to £200 as shown in your benefits schedule including the necessary additional cost of a ski pass or a compensation payment to you after you return where no alternative is available.
Gadget Insurance option
Section 20: Gadget Insurance
This section of optional travel insurance cover offers protection for up to 5 gadgets which includes your mobile phone, video camera, tablet and many others for loss, damage or theft up to £2,000. Handy to have, especially whilst partaking in Wintersports should the unforeseen happen!
Wherever you decide to enjoy the snow this winter, it’s important not to forget to buy an extensive travel insurance policy from Voyager Plus.
