Included with your Voyager Plus Travel Insurance policy is access to GP on Demand, which provides you with 24/7 remote access to a UK GP. You will be able to either arrange a telephone or video* appointment to discuss whatever may be troubling you. This is done via the GP on Deman app, which allows you to book a time that is convenient for you rather than going through the hassle of trying to find and book a doctor’s appointment online.

Doctors on this service are practising with and qualified by the NHS and are on hand to provide you with advice, reassurance, and diagnosis just as your local NHS GP would. 70% of consultations with GP on Demand result in an effective diagnosis, meaning no further medical contact is required. Their doctors are there to provide you with reassurance and advice about treatment and even recommendations for over-the-counter medication.

The GP on Demand service is accessible 24/7, 365 days a year, giving you peace of mind regardless of the time of year or even time of day! The remote GP will call you within 15 minutes of your scheduled appointment time and can even arrange for prescriptions to be delivered to your home address in the UK should you require them and for an additional charge.

Once you have registered, you can download the GP on Demand app which will allow you to book an appointment whether that’s a telephone consultation or video consultation.

How many times can I use GP on Demand?

GP on Demand is not an emergency service and should not be used as such. If you, or someone you’re travelling with has a medical emergency that requires urgent medical care then you should contact the local emergency services. In the UK you would call 999 but whilst travelling it is sensible to know the emergency number for the country you’re visiting.
