Am I covered to take my pet abroad?

This depends on the options you choose with Petguard. Unless you have chosen our overseas travel option, your pet will not be covered outside of the UK.

If you have selected the overseas travel option, your pet will be covered for up to 2 trips per period of insurance each lasting up to 60 days in European countries that participate in the Pet Travel Scheme. For the latest list of participating countries, see the Pet Travel Scheme website.

Please note that your trip must start and end in the UK and so cover is not suitable if you are emigrating.

Yes, you can change personal details, some pet details or renew your policy online or over the phone. Some changes may alter your annual premium, for example if you move to a different location.

We are unable to change the vet fee covers or optional covers after the first 14 days of your insurance, with the exception that you can add the overseas travel option at anytime.
