How old do I have to be to take out a policy?

You must be at least 21 years old at the date of rental. Similarly the maximum age is 84 at the date rental starts.

Which countries are covered by the European policy?

The European policy covers your home country and all countries in the continent of Europe to the West of the Ural Mountains, Madeira, Canary Islands, The Azores, Mediterranean Islands and Non-European countries bordering the Mediterranean (except Algeria, Israel, Lebanon and Libya). Voyager Car Hire Insurance also includes any rentals in your home country.

All countries are covered by the Worldwide policy, including your home country.

What is the maximum excess that can be reimbursed?

The maximum excess reimbursement is £5,000 for Europe and £50,000 for Worldwide.

What is the maximum duration of cover?

Single-trip 180 days

Annual Multi-trip 31 days per trip

The Annual multi-trip policy can be extended for a one off rental of up to 60 days with the payment of an additional premium.

How long do I have to make a claim?

Anything that may give rise to a claim should be given to the claims handling office in writing within 31 days of the end of the rental period

I'm hiring an expensive car, will this be covered?

Unfortunately rental vehicles that have a retail purchase price in excess of £50,000 or "Antique" vehicles that are over 20 years old or have not be manufactured for 10 years or more are not covered by this policy
