Research by Lloyds TSB has shown that 1 in 4 older travellers find it difficult to get travel insurance, despite the fact that those over the age of 50 are travelling more frequently than ever before. These findings support previous research that Able2Travel reported.

The research found that 15% of travellers aged over 50 have been refused travel cover due to having an existing illness or injury; this figure increased for those trying to find travel insurance over 60.

Able2Travel is designed to provide cover for those with pre-existing medical conditions giving you peace of mind when you go abroad. All medical conditions are dealt with on a case by case basis, for a quote call 0845 839 9345 or request a call-back from Able2Travel.

Similarly, the research showed some 11% of those aged over 50 had difficulty buying travel insurance simply due to their age.
