75% of Weddings Uninsured
According to research conducted by Datamonitor 75% of Wedding in the UK in 2010 will be uninsured. Considering that Datamonitor also predicts that £1.5m will be spent on weddings this summer, that is a large number of people that could be disappointed.
Datamonitor Analyst Slyvia Li stated: 'The average cost of a wedding in now in the region of £20,000. While everyone dreams of the perfect big day, thinkgs can go wrong. it is therefore prudent to consider taking out a wedding insurance policy to protect this hard earned money'.
